Coden Fournier of the Fernie Ghostriders is this week’s Young Guns, presented by the Next Shift Network, as he had three assists in the first two Teck Cup Final games.
Among the things Fournier liked about his play is he kept his feet moving.
“In the offensive zone, when I had the puck, I was making quick plays and finding my teammates open,” he says. “I have to give a lot of credit to my teammates and linemates as well. They do a good job of getting open for me and their ability to finish helps a lot.”
Fournier’s 17 points in 21 games led the team during the KIJHL Teck Cup playoffs. The Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., product had eight points in 24 regular season games.
