D-man Kaden Slobodian came to Fernie in a trade with the Campbell River Storm near the end of the 2021-22 season and played the next two seasons with the Riders as a top pairing defenseman. Last season Kaden was named as the Most Improved Player and with Eric Martin and Andrew Kennedy going down with injuries before the playoffs this year Kaden, Fisher, Neilsen and Peigan were relied upon to play big minutes. All the best in the future Kaden and the other twenty year old’s, Cole Fisher, Levi Hall, Luke Schaeffer, Cole Fournier and Landon Hedges
