Spring Camp 2023

2023 Ghostriders Spring Identification Camps (2007 to 2003)

The Fernie Ghostriders of the KIJHL are excited to announce the dates for our 2023 Spring Camp. The camp will from March 31 to April 2nd. If you’re serious about taking your hockey career to the next level, the first step would be attending our upcoming Spring Identification Camps. The is set up to give the players the best opportunity to have the most exposure possible against Jr. eligible players.

The Coaching Staff will use this camp to evaluate all players over the weekend with the intent of giving players an opportunity for a main camp invite.

Last year’s Spring Camp saw over a dozen players getting invited to Main Camp and 3 players being signed to LOA’s for the 2022/23 season. Current players like Lucas Desjarlais, Malichai Peigan, Cole Fisher, Rylan Cardinal, Gaege Johnson, and others were first identified at a Ghostriders ID Camp.

Only players who are geographically and age-eligible may attend a KIJHL spring camp. Meaning that they must be a 2008 birth year or older if they are a BC resident, or a 2005 birth year or older if they are an out-of-province or American player.

The Spring Identification Camp will run three days (Friday to Sunday) and include a practice, games, and meetings with the Coaching staff.

The Ghostriders are only hosting one Spring Identification Camp this year for players born between 2003 and 2008 (minimum 2005 birth year or older if they are an out-of-province or American player). The cost to participate in a Spring Identification Camp is $199 (plus Servus Fees).
