Fernie Ghostriders alumnus Ethan MacDuff was named the New England Hockey Conference Rookie of the Week in NCAA Division III.
MacDuff, a freshman with the University of Southern Maine Huskies, opened the scoring in their win over Castleton on Friday night and added another goal and an assist. He also scored the game-winning goal in Saturday’s win over Skidmore. He has four goals and six assists in 18 games this season.
MacDuff spent three seasons with the Ghostriders and registered 101 points in 83 regular season games from 2020-23. In 19 career KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games, MacDuff had 13 points.
