After a three game road trip to start the season the Ghostriders played two home games against Revelstoke and Columbia Valley and won both games 4-0.

The Riders played near perfect in their end in both games, credit to coaches Chad Scharff, Ben Sherven, and all the players for their defensive dedication and fearless shot blocking.
Also, with their shutouts both Leo den Besten and Kael Svenson were picked as the players of the games and den Besten was one of the BCHC inaugural 3 STARS of the week. Leo has a 3-0 record 2 S/O and a .971 save percentage…Svenson is no slouch either with a .944 SV% and 1 S/O
Boston Logan leads the team in scoring so far and 14 players have at least one point, full team scoring click here
Well enough from Rider News, lets hear what coach Scharff has to say.

Chad Scharff “ A great opening weekend at home for our group for sure. I thought Friday night was one of our best games in the two years that I’ve been involved with the Ghostriders organization. Outside the last 7 minutes of the third period I believe that was one of our most complete efforts. We were able to push with all 4 lines and our 6 D-men were fun to watch. Svenny was sharp and gave us the confidence all night! ”
Scharff adds “ The challenge for us was to see if we could have the same effort in a back to back game against a team that we knew would be hungry for a win. The group stayed resilient and focused to have a complete weekend with another solid performance from the entire lineup. Leo den Besten once again was perfect ”.
Rider News Which of your players stood out for you ?
Scharff “All 23 players!! Our 2 goalies are the best in the league! Sawyer Samycia continues to impress. Boston Logan has taken huge strides! Domenic Rattai has been a very nice addition. Jaden Piper is off to a great start. Our depth guys of Hunter Jaman, Rayne Jones, Gavin Harty and Carter Chown were very good this weekend”.
