The Fernie Ghostriders’ Twenty Year Old’s

The Fernie Ghostrider organization would like to thank our twenty-year-old players for all the time and hard work they put in while playing here in Fernie. The Ghostriders were a better team with these players in the lineup.

Ben Skarsen

 

First is our Captain, #21 Ben Skarsen. Ben played 116 regular season games and 36 playoff games over three years with the Ghostriders.  Ben is from Bonnyville Alberta and was named the Ghostriders Captain this season, he was also named as our the Rookie of the Year in 2024, Top Defensive Forward in 2025 and Top Forward in 2026.

 

Coden Fournier

One of our Assistant Captains was #16 Coden Fournier Coden is from Fort Saskatchewan Alberta and is currently in his third season with the Ghostriders.  Fournier was the Top Scoring Forward this year and has played 111 regular-season games and 36 playoff games  while accumulating 121 points.  His brother, Cole, also spent three seasons with the Riders before moving on to play for the University of Victoria in the BCIHL.

 

 

Carter Velker

 

Now in his third year in the KIJHL  #27 Carter Velker played most of his 126 regular season and 28 playoff  games with the Columbia Valley Rockies before coming over to Fernie in  January at the deadline. Carter had 8 points in 11 playoff games and is from Calgary Alberta. 

 

 

Isaac Sommer

 

#22 Isaac Sommer is from Kimberley where he played four seasons with the Dynamiters before being traded to the Rockies last summer, and then to Fernie at the January deadline. Isaac finished his Junior Career with an impressive 145 regular-season and 52 playoff games under his belt.
