Head Coach and General Manager Chad Scharff
“The Fernie Ghostriders are proud to name Liam Breakenridge captain for the 2026–2027 season”.
“Entering his third season with our organization, Liam has consistently demonstrated leadership through his work ethic, character and honesty—both on and off the ice. I have had the privilege of watching him grow into a mature and respected leader who understands what it means to represent the Ghostriders”.
“Liam is the true definition of a leader who brings his teammates together and inspires those around him to be better. His character, commitment and team-first mentality makes him the perfect fit to lead this year’s team”.
“I look forward to working closely with Liam as he leads our group throughout the 2026–2027 season”.
Liam Breakenridge “First and foremost, I’m grateful for the opportunity. Having the chance to lead a group like this is really special. Obviously, with being the captain comes a lot of responsibility, so having guys in the room like, Hale, Samycia, Jones, and Buchanan is huge. We’re incredibly fortunate to have a surplus of strong leaders. It also helps being around past captains like Taylor Haggerty and Ben Skarsen, there’s lots to learn from guys like that. I’m fired up!”
