KIJHL Power Rankings – Week 21

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its 21st week of regular season action for the 2024-25 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlight the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide positioning.

 

The Grand Forks Border Bruins are No. 1 for another week. They defeated the Castlegar Rebels 9-2 in their lone game. Logan McCabe scored twice, including the winning goal.

 

 

The Kimberley Dynamiters are holding at the No. 2 spot. They won their lone game 4-0 over the Columbia Valley Rockies. Luke Davies netted the winner for the Dynamiters with his 26th goal and collected three assists. Goalie Josh Hager earned a 13-save shutout.

 

 

The Princeton Posse are holding at the No. 3 spot. They won their lone game 5-3 against the Kelowna Chiefs. Brayden Sumner scored the winner for the Posse with his seventh goal and added an assist.

 

 

The Beaver Valley Nitehawks are holding at the No. 4 spot. They won both their games last week, starting with a 4-3 in overtime win over the Fernie Ghostriders. Boris Hristov netted the winner with his 13th goal, while Ollie Clement recorded his 100th career KIJHL point in his 150th career game with his 17th goal. The Nitehawks then doubled up the Columbia Valley Rockies 6-3. Trailing 2-0, the Nitehawks scored six straight against the Rockies, getting the deciding goal by Ollie Clement (19).

 

The Fernie Ghostriders are in at No. 5. They won two of their three games last week. They started with a 2-0 win over the Creston Valley Thunder Cats on Feb. 4. Coden Fournier scored the winner and added an assist. Cooper Anderson made 25 saves for his first KIJHL shutout. On Feb. 7, the Ghostriders lost to the Nitehawks 4-3 in overtime. On Feb. 8, the Ghostriders defeated Golden 5-3. Taylor Haggerty scored twice, including the winner.
