The Ghostriders won their second exhibition game 4-2 on Thursday night against the Columbia Valley Rockies .
The Kimberley game last week looked almost like a regular season game… the Rockies game looked like an exhibition game, but the Riders won and scored some nice goals as well.
Gavin Harty from Glenbush SK (and not from California like some idiot said last week) scored his second pre season goal in his bid to make the Ghostriders and Jackson Roberts who played in Golden last year and is from Cranbrook scored his first goal in his bid to make the team.
Vets Koa Percival and Boston Logan both scored nice goals…The coaches are hoping they will have breakout years as 19 year olds.
Owen Gallant (Calgary) won his second game in net, can he beat out Leo den Besten and Kael Svenson who were both outstanding last season is the question.
Rayne Jones (who will turn 17 in December) and Sawyer Samycia were both involved in a skirmish in the third , Samycia’s turned into a fight, when CVR’s Porter Dickson threw the first punch and Cohen Tufford started his card with a check to the head.
The Ghostriders play in Columbia Valley on Saturday the 12th then the regular season goes on the 18th in Grand Forks, 19th in Beaver Valley and 20th in Nelson. All games are on Flo Hockey and at the Fernie Legion
First Home Games are September 25 and 26th vs Revelstoke and the Rockies
