The Fernie Ghostriders’ held their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday May 28th.
The big news coming out of the meeting was that thirteen year Team President Barb Anderson has stepped down as President and Vice President Mike Casault has moved up and will lead the organization as our new President. Barb Anderson will help with the transition and stay on the Board as Past President.

President’s job is not easy and is very time consuming. The Fernie Ghostriders organization thanks Barb for her dedication and thirteen years as President.
In other news the AGM was very well attended with around 30 interested fans showing up. It has been years since that many people showed interest in the hockey team.
Barb Anderson presented Scotty McKee with the KIJHL’s Broadcaster of the Year Plaque. McKee oversees every aspect of the online broadcast and has helped other teams set up their cameras and hardware. Additionally, McKee designs team logos and ensures that players have their names and numbers on their jerseys.
The Financial Report sobered up the crowd when it was announced that the team lost almost 60,000 dollars and will have to reevaluate a few things this season.
